Types of Special Effects to Use for Parties in Orlando, FL

Get Lit Productions has been in and out of just about every venue you can find in the Central Florida area. Here are some of the special effects we’ve utilized to great effect in the events we’ve done.

Cold Spark Fireworks for Your Event

Traditional sparklers are great, but cold spark fireworks are even better. Cold spark firework systems allow for dazzling 11-foot displays. Traditional sparklers burn very hot, and while Cold Spark firework systems are not exactly running on ice, they are significantly less hot than their traditional counterparts. Not only is this safer for the venue but it will also produce less heat in the venue—nobody wants to be sweating in a suit or dress!

Mist Special Effect for Events

Fireworks are great for the first dance, but we can do even better! Dance on a cloud is exactly as it sounds and looks, introduce a misty and fantastical element to the first dance that will make your pictures of the event match your memories of how you or the couple felt. For this effect, a dry ice machine is used. The effect will last approximately 3-4 minutes, but in our experience, that’s all that’s ever needed!

Confetti for Events

Confetti has been a staple special effect for many decades. This special effect can range from simple paper to silver and/or gold metallic Mylar confetti and streamers. Don’t be fooled by the simplicity, confetti has had enduring popularity for a reason. This simple effect still has a big impact when used at the right time.

We recommend using confetti when the party is in full swing and you need to put extra emphasis on the moment.

Haze Effect for Parties

While the first dance or entrance of a couple may be the most opportune time for using our Dance on a Cloud effect, but haze is an element that can create atmosphere during the time when everyone should be on the dance floor! Haze provides a ton of atmosphere due to how light beams and other lighting effects look through the haze. It can whisk everyone away and make them forget where they are, perfect for parties which should be a reprieve from the tediousness of daily life.

Cry Cannon for Events

A cry cannon is a machine that uses short, quick blasts of CO2 up to a distance of 25 feet. They’re incredible effects to use for grand entrances, birthdays, to highlight any performances at your event. We find that Cry Cannons alone make an event look polished and well-thought out. After all, how often do you go to a party where these effects are there to give them extra oomph of professionalism and excitement?
